This Rafter Bracket is suitable for any 4″ deep timber. Perfect for use with our Framola range of Pergola brackets, these brackets are suitable for use as roof joists when creating roofs and tops for any Pergola structures or DIY project. These brackets are perfect for using 4″ x 4″ timbers, especially if you are already using our 4″ brackets for a Framola Pergola.

To install for a strong and hardwearing connection, screw the bracket to the timber using the 6 screw holes on the back of the bracket. Then slot the joist into the bracket and use the 2 screw holes on either side of the bracket to screw the bracket to the joist. The screws will not collide as the placement of the holes have been carefully considered to avoid any clashes internally. 

We recommend using the following screws for installation:

• Framola Official Timber Installation Screws for securing the bracket to the horizontal beam.
• Rafter Bracket Installation Screws for securing the rafter within the bracket. Make sure you choose the size suitable for your wood to ensure the screws don’t clash internally! For this rafter bracket, we recommend the 5.0 x 40mm version.
