La Marzocco developed the Strada EP (Electronic Paddle) to meet the evolving market demands and give baristas complete mastery over the brewing process. With an increasing number of coffee roasters adopting direct trade and relationship coffees, we recognized the need for a dependable and versatile machine that could effectively showcase the unique qualities of these coffees.
Pressure Profiling
The Strada EP gives baristas the opportunity to utilize pressure profiling in order to achieve a well-rounded and softer espresso with enhanced brightness, sweetness, and delicate notes. This feature also allows for precise replication of a specific single origin coffee’s flavour profile, which may be challenging to achieve under a constant 9 bars of pressure.
The Strada EP 1 group is equipped with a self-contained 2 litre water tank that makes plumbing optional.
Electronic Paddle
The La Marzocco Strada EP 1 group Dual Boiler Espresso Machine features electronically controlled gear pumps that offer precise and direct pressure control. The classic paddle interface allows for motor speed control, while the Electronical Paddle provides manual pressure control at any point during extraction. With Strada EP technology, pressure profiles can be easily programmed and replicated.
