Silken Tofu – Soft, 340g
This soft, silken tofu is a great store cupboard ingredient – most often used in Oriental cooking, as well as being an excellent source of protein for vegetarians and vegans.
Soft silken tofu has a deliciously smooth texture, similar to custard – so is usually eaten with a spoon rather than chopsticks. Soft silken tofu is often used as a lactose-free substitute when making smoothies or baking. Soft silken tofu can even form a South Asian-style breakfast, flavoured with sweet ingredients such as syrup or molasses as well as savoury ingredients like chilli, soy or spring onions.
